Wedding details - getting ready

I got some photos from my awesome photographer from the wedding ceremony and wedding prep. I thought I could share some of those with you all.
We opted to have a very small, intimate wedding ceremony at the church we attend. Joey and his family have attended the church for over 20 years and the pastor is a good friend of theirs. I've been going there with him for over 2 years and I have enjoyed the pastor as well so I knew immediately after getting engaged that I wanted him to perform the ceremony for us.
We had about 25 guests at the ceremony and they were either family or close friends. I also had the friends who attended the ceremony provide a service of some sort to me. :) They were happy to oblige.
My best friend from high school came all the way from Florida and I had her do my makeup. She came down for my bachelorette weekend and we talked about what kind of makeup I would need to buy and she provided the rest for me. I am clueless when it comes to makeup so I was thankful for her help!

I love this photo!
Joey's sister did my hair! I loved it!

Meanwhile, Joey was showing off his Transformers cuff links that I got him.

I had a friend arrange my and my maid of honor's bouquets and the boutonnieres for the men. I didn't have any other flowers but I absolutely loved the flowers that we did have.
My flowers were delivered in a 6-pack box

Pretty flowers! Garden roses, ranunculus, and calla lillies

I also want to share our rings with you. Joey got a plain white gold band. That was my original plan too but my rings belonged to Joey's mom so I didn't really get to choose. I loved my engagement ring but had seen the wedding band and thought it would be too much 'bling' for me. Turns out I was wrong. Since the moment the ring was placed on my finger, I absolutely love it. It is definitely a lot more diamonds than I ever dreamed of wearing but it is gorgeous and it reminds me of Joey's mom and the love his parents shared for over 35 years.

This post is already long enough. I'll share more details another time and post some photos of the ceremony itself.

Your wedding sounds wonderful. I love that it was so intimate and that everyone was involved.

I had to laugh about eating at the American Indian Museum. Emily told me most people have told her it is not a great museum (I disagree) but a great place to eat.
